The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair, by C. S. Lewis, is a high fantasy novel for children. It is set largely in the world of Narnia, many years after the Voyage of the Dawn Treader but less than a year in England.

Summary of the Book

King Caspian X is now an old man. His son, the only successor, Prince Rilian is missing. Aslan, the lion, sends two children from England to Narnia on a task to solve the mystery: Eustace Scrubb and Jill Pole. In the frame story, they are students at a horrible boarding school. Will they be successful in the mission? The Silver Chair is dedicated to Colin Hardie’s son, Nicholas Hardie, a member of the Inklings with Lewis.
